It's definitely been commercialized in our society though. I don't have anyone to celebrate with but my darling girls. As a child my favorite thing was my mom baked two chocolate cakes and cut them to form a heart shape. Then she made 'pink' icing and put conversation hearts around the edges of the cake. It was always my favorite cake. I wanted it for my birthday but my mom always said "no" because then it wouldn't be special on Valentine's Day.
