I thank all of your for sending him your Light and Love. I canvassed the downtown area of Rifle and placed posters of him in every store, gas station, bank, Chamber of Commerce, Library, restaurant, Police Station, Fire Station, and park. We put flyers on corner posts and townhome mail boxes and left them with neighbors. I've notified every shelter and dog collector from Palisade to Denver (in case he's trying to get home). I've called all local vets within three towns. We've scouted the local restaurants at night, because strays like to hang out at their trash bins. Every day I try to send him all my love and hope he can feel it. I've gone through fields and near streams. We spray my perfume around the exterior of the house and put his little bed on the porch with his favorite toys. Coming home without him about killed me. I pray he's safe. I took him up to Rifle (3 hour drive from Denver) so he could be seen by a specialist for sinus problems (Sparky's had them since he was born). My daughter,Molly, (his foster mom) was to bring him back this weekend. On the night of the super moon, her Husky went crazy in the house and obviously spooked Sparky. He jumped to a high window and pushed the screen out. Molly didn't even realize he was gone for an entire day. She thought he was sleeping somewhere. He has an id chip and an embroidered collar with his name and phone number. He's never been outside before. I have the rest of the week off to look for him. We're handing out flyers, placing an ad in the local paper, in daily contact with every shelter and vet and the dog pound. Flyers are also posted in Walmart and Petco and at Molly's restaurant.
