It's definitely been commercialized in our society though. I don't have anyone to celebrate with but my darling girls. As a child my favorite thing was my mom baked two chocolate cakes and cut them to form a heart shape. Then she made 'pink' icing and put conversation hearts around the edges of the cake. It was always my favorite cake. I wanted it for my birthday but my mom always said "no" because then it wouldn't be special on Valentine's Day. Vomiting and not eating were the warning signs. Mine never showed those signs so he must have passed it. </p> <p>Like JCAT said, if she continues not to eat that is very serious. I hope you are able to work out a payment plan for the vet care, if needed. I know in my town vets have really different pricing from vet to vet, so calling around might help.
