Aw thanks Buttercup! We have poop today! After 3 days :) Should I keep putting pumpking in her food? Or should I lay off now that it has passed?

Well the good news is, Sophie is eating and was playful last night. She kept me up! She has peed a few times and no painful meows or blood in the pee. I am waiting for her to go No 2 and hopefully she has a movement today. If not, I will take her to vet tomorrow morning.

I did see her pee in her litter box, and when it clumped it was a bit bigger than a golf ball. So hopefully it is not that?

ILT, if you still think there's any chance it could be her bladder and that she's straining to pee, BC is right, it's an emergency and she needs the vet.

If she did pee and it's a dark yellow in colour, she's dehydrated (don't forget about the tent test to also test for this). I would add pedialyte to her food for dehydration -- that will also help with constipation: http://www.dailykitten.com/chat/topic/31106

Hi ILT,whichever one you have is best. Most people have good quality vegetable oil or olive oil. I hear Pumpkin is hard to get sometimes.

Several drops of a good quality vegetable oil or olive oil in the food can help alleviate constipation.

Yes she could be dehydrated. I get my kitties to drink more by adding ice to their water and getting them interested.If you have wet food for her you can add water to it and make it more "juicy".
Here's a link for constipation;

Feel on her abdominal area near the lower area below where her belly bottom would be. I just checked the cat nearest to me who is definitely not sick and I got a really dirty look. If she peed a lot and you think it's constipation maybe you could add some plain pumpkin to her diet.
Others will have other ideas. Does she seem distressed or is she acting normally?

Can you check her tummy and see if her bladder feels full? It will feel like a little balloon if it's full and she will act uncomfortable. Don't press too hard.

Hey all, Sophie is about 3. I noticed today she kept going in and out of the litterbox. She would go in, come out a minute later and then go back in the box a couple of minutes after that. She did this a few times.

During the last time, I went in with her and I noticed that she was straining and nothing really came out. A little bit of pee I think. I did however scoop her litter to see what is in it or not and it seemed normal.

Is this something I should be worried about? Or is she just being a cat?
