It made the whole room stink to high heaven--repelled everyone! Citrus sounds much nicer. Maybe hang some tangerines on the tree? It works, not one of my cats climbed the tree that year, Charli and Lucy (RIP) were tiny babies that year and Stink &#38; Ellie, tiny babies last year, did not climb the tree either. Growing up in Oregon where Christmas tree farms abound, I've always had a fresh fir tree to decorate. They aren't as expensive here as they are in other parts of the country. I love the smell! When I saw him doing it, I told him "Gabe, no!" firmly, then praised him when he turned away from the decoration. And the first without the boys in a very, very long time. Our house is an ongoing project and we're hoping it will be presentable for Christmas so she can get a proper welcome to the holidays. Mili may well want to climb it, and that makes me nervous. My tree stand is very old - was my grandmother's - it has a wide base which is good, but the neat thing about it is that it rotates. Christmas is going to be so much fun this year! Rocky usually climbs the tree. I wonder if Micky will follow his big brothers example on what to do with a Christmas Tree and also climb it. I am planning to get them one of those water bowls that have the water fall...if you know what I mean. I am not sure exactly what they are called, but ever sense we took the fishbowl away (thats what Rocky liked to drink out of) Rocky will only drink out of the sink when the faucet is running, I am hoping this water bowl will solve all of our problems. </p>
