I think they view animals as animals and not so much as pets who are part of the family. I don't think anyone who can hunt and shoot any species is a true animal lover. The Queen has always had corgie dogs and I have read she really spoils them but I wonder if the degree she spoils them is the same degree we would, since she was also a hunter. I just feel hunters are not in the same category as other animal lovers, no matter what they say. How could they be if they are willing to kill an animal for sport? </p> <p>I also disagree that Edward hit his dogs because of privilege. Edward hit his dogs because he is cruel. If he is the type to abuse an animal it is in his chacter and he would be like that whether he lived a privileged life or not.
