I was amazed that I felt nothing more physically than a calming affect on me. I just wish I had some last night. I'm going thru the same thing Petpntr was. The last 2 nights. Zero sleep. Massive toothpain. I took a vicodin last night,which I've used for yrs. &#38; had a deadly reaction to it suddenly. About 3 a.m. I found a motrin (600) &#38; took it. It helped w/some of the pain,but,Winnie refused to let me sleep w/her constant getting into things.I will try to catch up on the ZzZz's today.<br /> Good Luck w/Misty &#38; her bloodwork. I'm going to be open-minded about it. </p> <p> I originally bought it to give Misty for her stress grooming. I think I should check with the vet before I give it to her. She has her senior baseline bloodwork done this Tuesday. He's back to his old self, before the surgery, even before adolescence. Whew! Thanks for your support, guys!! We had a rocky week there. The only kitty who didn't suffer his wrath was Misty. She such a strong-silent-type. When he tried to pin her down, she used her weight to flip him right off! It was pretty funny!</p> <p>Sadly, neither Trixie not Maybelline could be captured by any method on Saturday, and so neither of them got spayed. I started trying to get one of them Friday night. I tried everything. Even tuna. They would not go into the carrier. We thought it was time b/c he was attacking my older cat viciously and constantly. After the surgery, we didn't really see a difference in that except for it isn't constant anymore. But it is frequent. I am hoping the behavior will continue to decrease but so far it hasn't .. ... Lisa, altho you don't agree with the alcohol in the rescue remedy,there is not that much in it &#38; it truly worked well for settling down my kits (&#38; I have numerous different personalities going on here). It didn't hurt any of them to get it. I just put a few drops in their water dish. None were the wiser. And,believe it or not, I used it along with them (I had the version for humans). It was a miracle worker for calming me &#38; the alcohol content did not hurt the kits.<br /> It was much quicker to work than the Feliway diffuser. He and his sisters are all singing in harmony, and doing it very quietly! I think my neighbors have disbanded the kitty-lynch-mob, and we are all safe in our homes and on our patios once again. The last two females will be spayed this Saturday and next Saturday...although I fear Saturday may be too late for Maybelline. I've decided to stay calm about it. If she turns up with a litter, well, I'll just save my pennies and get them fixed, too. Madonna and Mia have recovered great from their spays--a week ago tomorrow. The plug-in is sort of like an AirWick or Glade plug-in and it lasts about 30 days.</p> <p>We have used the plug-in to try and calm Windi when something stressful is going on and we do think that it helped. I tried letting the three of them loose in the garage....more room than their carriers, and a big litter box, but still restricted. Tex started attacking his sisters and trying to savagely mount them. The vet warned me they might hiss and spit a little the first night because they would not recognize each other's smell. </p> <p>But Tex seems to be having serious hormonal surges. He's screaming his head off, caterwauling like crazy. I don't think he's in pain. He responds to me picking him up, cooing to him, petting him, etc. But the second I put him down, he's chasing Mia and Madonna and pinning them down. I finally decided to put him in the largest carrier I have--it's really big, more of a dog kennel, and keep him inside. He's settled down. I feel so sorry for him. I think he's miserable.</p> <p>What do you guys think? Hormones? Confusion? Separation anxiety? He's never been separated from his mom and sisters before. I can't let him out for three days. He can still get his mom and Maybelline PG. They have appt's next Thur and Fri.</p> <p>Help! I bought Rescue Remedy, but that stuff is 30 percent alcohol!! I don't want to give it to him. I'm planning to return it. I didn't know it was basically kitty booze!! </p>
