<description>&#60;p&#62;Sorry I disappeared after posting this.  The end of the work day came, and I basically slept the night away.  Not feeling well....  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;It is now a moot point anyway.  My bank, where the current mortgage is, will do a refi with $0 out of pocket.  Simply start over at 30 years, with the balance due, at a new interest rate.  :)

Your mortgage broker will give you a Good Faith Estimate up front. You will have to pay for the appraisal, about $350ish, and then whatever points. I've seen CC's from $3000 to $5500+. It depends on the amount of your loan.
