I'd forgotten how much I loved those... they were a great part of our family holidays. Once the summer school holidays are over the beach is a lot less crowded. You can now walk across the road from the beach and onto cafes and bistros. The natural hot water pools are still there as is the camping ground at the foot of the Mount. Quite a different feel to the place but times do change and if you don't move with them you get run over. Walking around the Mount is still very popular, over 100,000 people walked around or up it in January.<br /> Meegz and the new man are going very nicely Deb, he's so different to the last one. A breath of fresh air by comparison with a younger outlook on things. He works in Auckland but lives back here and Meegz place is halfway between. We get to see more of Meegz now and they often pop in for Sunday morning bacon and eggs or Saturday night dinner, whichever one they aren't having with his grandparents.
