I started thinking about how hard it must be to put your beloved cat to sleep. It is the highest form of love as it is the hardest thing one has to do. I dread the day I may have to make that decision for my wonderful Sylvester. He is going to be four in August. Sylvester saw me crying and came immediately after I was done with the book and slept in my lap like he was trying to say it is okay Mom, I am here and not going anywhere soon. He purred himself to sleep. It was comforting. I remember once there was a hole in the screen and I mentioned to XBF that Misty was nowhere in sight. He got annoyed and yelled "Misty Kitty get your furry butt back here right now". Next thing you know, Misty was peeking in the hole in the screen and then came running through the patio and straight into the house. She knew the rules :)</p> <p>Her favorite thing was a Christmas gift I got her a couple Christmases ago. It was this rubber scratching thing you could adhere on a corner for a cat to rub it's head against.
