2P and WWM, I am in the walk in the puke club too! Never fails that it is in the middle of the night right in the path to the bathroom! I also adore when Wilma decides to play "hockey" with her litter box droppings! Another favorite to find in my shoe in the morning! That is a definite thwacking of paws and giggling in the other room!

This time of year they are shedding and always injest a lot of hair. Try some hairball ointment if it keeps up. My Nala seems to get it the most, some cats are just more sensitive than others. As long as you haven't changed food, there is no fever, she eats OK and she poops normally I wouldn't worry.

I'm glad Pumpkin seems to be fine now AL.

WWM...It's nice to know I'm not alone in the method in which I make these same discoveries!! I have also been known to step into the litterbox when I'm real sleepy..This is very similar to cow patty stomping we did as children on the farm!

AL..from time to time I'll catch one of mine throwing up. Not often and if it's only once I don't concern myself too much. If they were to continue the behavior I'd have to consult the vet. Hope Pumpkin is fine...{{{Pumpkin}}}

Ever since her last spell (which was a small amount of liquid [water/stomach juices] & over an hour ago), she seems to be feeling & acting normal; she's quietly snoozing curled up in some blankets. Thanks you guys for listening, I REALLY appreciate it :o)

AL you are so good for Pumpkin! I don't know if she is sick, but I can say I have a cat with a digestion issue. Teaser will throw up her food. I switched her to Iams for sensitive digestion, and she does much better. She did what I lovingly call scarf and barf yesterday morning. She ate, jumped in the sink, and then threw up. I thanked her for sharing and began to clean and bleach! It could be something that simple. Is she doing anything else out of the ordinary? In the meantime I send you my prayers that Pumpkin is strong and healthy!

Usually throw up after eating, no. But if she ate too quickly, or was stressed just after eating (did something scare her) or did she have different food than normal, any of those things could upset her tummy. They do puke now and then for no good reason, but usually hair or a plant is involved. Watch for a pattern, or anything strange in the puke, or strange behavior, that is when concern should be raised.

If this doesn't happen again I wouldn't too much. Keep an eye on her poop for a day or two and unless it continues she is probably just fine.

AL, I think that all kitties throw up at various times. Was it dry food that Pumpkin threw up? Willow does that sometimes if she eats too fast and doesn't chew her food. Also, if Pumpkin has a hair ball it could cause her to throw up. I think that if you watch her closely today and she doesn't do it again, that it was just one of those kitty barfy things.

Hey, maybe i'm just being my usual worrywort self, but last night/early morning, Pumpkin threw up twice in two different spots in the living room. I'm afraid something's wrong with her, but the boyfriend said that she most likely overate and couldn't keep it all down. I looked through what she had thrown up, just to make sure, and didn't find anything abnormal, it looks like a bunch of her cat food digested.

Do kits/cats usually throw up? She has never thrown up before and I'm worried.
Currently, she seems back to her regular self, but I don;t want anything to happen to my sweet Pumpkin.
