In the past, doctors and/or parents would simply choose one or the other sex and remove the unmatched sex organs. He had undescended testes and they had to go look for them. It is an invasive procedure so they wanted him to be at least 16 weeks. When I picked him up yesterday, they asked me if I knew what had happened. I said No, what happened. She said that when they went in, he had not only the 2 testes, but also 2 ovaries and a uterus. He was a true hermaphrodite! He is at home recovering, he picked up a cough/sinus congestion while there, so he is seperated and unhappy about it. </p>
