Deb, I hope it does too for you!.... I will say, it will take time for it to work... it must consistently get in your system, and then have time to build up immunities.... so give it a few months.....hopefully you'll notice a difference!.... and when you eat the honey, you want to eat it as raw and unprocessed as possible - in other words, don't stir it in tea or anything, if you can buy it like I do, from the bee keeper, straight from the hives, it's the best for you..... just strain it (to get the comb bits out ) and take a teaspoon a day.....

Thanks for the link about earth hour, MS ( I try to stay up to for you guys, but oft times fall asleep ).....very interesting!

...Deb, the thing about local honey is true -- my allergist (along with many articles I've read ) believe that if you eat a teaspoon of locally made honey, it helps your body's system to build anti-bodies to fight the local allergies... my grandmother swore by it!..... it makes sense to me, almost in the same principle of a vaccine... your system gets a small dose of the "toxins", and it builds a defense system to fight it....I really believe it helps, I drive out to Plant City to get my honey from some bee keepers that have colonies there...... I really can tell a difference, and sadly, I did not drive out there this season, and the pollen has almost killed me!!......maybe I'll drive out there before I head to the beach (since I'll be outdoors!)

We had a very fruitful day as far as getting things done. We took Mum and mitzi to the vet for Mitzi's pawdicure and the vet gave her a good combing as she is very old now and not grooming herself very well. Mr MS made a stand to hold his fishing rods upright instead of all just lying horizontal on wall hooks. I put vege soil full of sheep pellets and good stuff on the vege garden and flower gardens and sowed beetroot seeds and tomorrow I'll be planting cauliflower and broccoli plants and sowing kohlrabi seeds and planting out Iceland poppies. This evening Meegz txt to see if we had enough dinner left over to feed her, she arrives, eats and departs. It's good to see her smiling and happy. She and the manfriend(MF) are attempting to have a two part breakfast tomorrow. Cereal with his grand parents and bacon and eggs with us. Nothing like a free breakfast.

The winds started to die down this evening, thank goodness and supposed to be about 15 degrees warmer today. Allergies are still here and will never go anywhere but I actually went to Trader Joe's today and bought honey to start taking. My allergist had told me to start taking 1 tsp of honey daily, supposed to be local honey and it would probably help with my allergies. Guess the NZ honey is the best in the world but other than that, localized honey is the next best thing. Also wanted to ask you, have you ever used the syrup from the Blue Agave plant as a sweetner? It is supposed to be good for you, both health wise and is a very good natural sweetner.

And how was your day? Besides the enjoying the candlelight for Earth Hour.

It's great to read that DM's cat Scout has returned but sad to read about 2B's sons heartbreak with the kitties.
Must go now, trying to time dinner before Earth Hour at 8.30pm tonight when we'll put out our lights for an hour. Anyone else taking part?

Hi, Everyone. Just a quick peek in. It's been a rather....unusual.... week and I am just sort of wrung out. But I just wanted to say

AV, ABBY WANTS TO GO TO THE BEACH!!!!!

Well, I think I might call it a night. We have been off watching August Rush. Mr. WWM made many sighing sounds which I have learned to interpret as, "How long does this chick flick last?". But he owed me because I watched the latest James Bond movie with him last night and thought that it was depressing and awful.

Good night!

Hi KW, SM ! I love Picasso.... and Dali... we are so lucky to have Dali's museum here in Pinellas county (just across the bridge from me!)..... I saw the first Tut exhibit when it was here (been a few years back), sorry to hear this one wasn't as good SM!..... need to go sit in my comfy chair for a while, my relaspe of allergy coughing has made my lung lining issues come back, so I need to rest a little... I did hibernate all day, but (may) have worked a little too hard tonight doing stuff I probably shouldn't have!..... oh well, the beach will be restful..... I bought 2 new swim suits and found two great sun shield shirts that should keep the sun off me.... I'm very fair, and at 50 don't ever want any sun on my skin again!.... these shirts are really great, they're made out of a sheer material, so you can see the cute swim suits thru them, but they block out (most) of the harmful uv/uba rays.... that coupled with 50+ SPF smeared all over me, and sitting under an umbrella with hat and glasses, I should be good to go! Intend to re-read Dewey (in prep for our discussion 4/1) and give painting a try!..... I resigned myself long ago to be happy being very fair, with no tan - even if I exposed my skin to the sun, I would only burn, so I've worked hard to keep myself out of the sun! My skin doctor has always been impressed with my lack of sun damage for my age....oh did I mention that I was scared sh$#@$#$less at a young age because my Mom (a red head) has had over 50+ skin cancers cut out of her fact alone!!! Just call me casper!.......

She wants to go into journalism. She learned some tips from bobbi as she was with the paper in Dallas. She would probably do that little fan in awe scream--scares the heck out of people. Funny others are fawning over musicians and she wants to know if we can find out if Bob Jackson is still alive and in Colorado--seems that my kid is a true nerd! I am so very proud!

KW it is the friend of AB that has come on a very few times. Not SOM. They are the most amazing ladies! They helped pull me through. I was lost in Dallas--the driving was a different experience. I thought after driving in Washington DC I could do anything--then there was Dallas!
