There is also a new breed claimed to be hypo-allergenic but they cost around $5000+, so the Sphinx is the way to go--they are so ugly they are cute (sort of like my Sheba and other Persians with the very flat face!) You sound like you have so much love to give, and of course we love ALL animals, just are partial to cats. I am trying to adopt 2 little doxie/chihuahua mix puppies. They are from a rescue not too far from where I live. They were abandoned in a drainage ditch in late March/early April. They were probably about 2 weeks old and it was still frigid here in Michigan. They were wet, cold and covered in ticks. After addressing the medical issues, the rescue placed them in a home where a stray had just given birth to 5 puppies and she accepted them and has been nursing them etc. They will be ready for adoption in about 2 weeks. Since I couldn't have kitties, I asked the doctor about puppies and he said they were fine--they don't hunt and no litter box--as long as they were short haired--so I found these little girls that need me!! Now I just have to convince Tom--shouldn't be too hard, he usually gives me whatever I want! They are itty-bitty family--couldn't we make them honorary kitties??? lol! </p>
