Okay, we got 2 of the 4 movies. Here are the final clues, which include more lines and the actors who spoke them if known. If the remaining 2 haven't been identified by Monday, I'll give the answers.

1. Apollo 13, Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell.

2. The Man Who Knew Too Much

3. "I promise not to faint, Doctor, if you promise not to eat garlic the night before an operation." (Audrey Hepburn)
"I don't know what to do, Doctor, I have TB." (Audrey Hepburn)
"You see we haven't converted them all yet. Some of them still wear the witch doctor's fetish." (Dorothy Alison)
"You're not in the mold. You'll never be the kind of nun your convent expects you to be." (Peter Finch)

4. "He graduated cum laude from Harvard but flunked right out of Berlitz." (supporting actor, referring to Michael Douglas' character)
"Ed, I want you to taste my strudel." (Melanie Griffith)
"You're Jewish? My God, you've got guts." (Joely Richardson)
"That's what you need, though, someone who can move right into the house as a domestic--someone with the accent of a Berlin butcher's wife." (Melanie Griffith)

Don't give up, your second guess was right! Now we have two answers!

Now we will have more clues:

1. Apollo 13, Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell.

2. The Man Who Knew Too Much

3. "I promise not to faint, Doctor, if you promise not to eat garlic the night before an operation."
"I don't know what to do, Doctor, I have TB."
"You see we haven't converted them all yet. Some of them still wear the witch doctor's fetish."

4. "He graduated cum laude from Harvard but flunked right out of Berlitz."
"Ed, I want you to taste my strudel."
"You're Jewish? My God, you've got guts."
(Starred Michael Douglas and Melanie Griffith)

Okay, first one done. Now for some more clues.

1. Apollo 13, Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell.

2. "Americans become very annoyed when their children are stolen."
"Let's just take that note to the American Embassy and not get any more involved in this!"

3. "I promise not to faint, Doctor, if you promise not to eat garlic the night before an operation."
"I don't know what to do, Doctor, I have TB."

4. "He graduated cum laude from Harvard but flunked right out of Berlitz."
"Ed, I want you to taste my strudel."

For these next ones, we'll just have to go with movie titles because different characters/actors are saying the different lines.

Okay, we've got two winners on the first one: It was Apollo 13, and it was Tom Hanks. Now, who did Tom Hanks play?

If, after a while, we don't get any more answers, I'll put in other lines from the movies as more clues.

Let's have a quiz game, littermates. I've been seeing quite a few older movies on TV lately, and some of them have interesting lines in them. Here are four of those lines. Each is from a different movie. What movies are they from? (Please excuse me if the quotes aren't verbatim; I'm doing this from memory.) Identifying actors and characters counts for extra points.

"I am sick and tired of the entire western world knowing how my kidneys are functioning!"

"Americans become very annoyed when their children are stolen."
