I was working in public health in El Paso and we did pregnancy testing and then prenatal care in the city clinics. I was at the clinic in Ysleta and a 13 year old came in, with her mother, for a pregnancy test. It was positive - and ..... it was her second pregnancy. Her mother became enraged at the NP who had dispensed foam to the girl after the first delivery. The mother began yelling about how could her daughter be pregnant again??? It had to be our fault for giving her a contraceptive that didn't work.
