They did a sort of "sling" with my dura tissue to hold my cerebellum in. My second vertebrae now takes over the workings of the first and supports my head. This is why I will have to really strengthen my neck and strap muscles in the coming months. As for the tingling, numbness and spasms: ALL GONE! I totally understand how you feel about wanting to work out but you need to take care of you! My NS says once I am better I have to be vigilent about my overall health and strength, especially since I don't have a first vertebrae. That is the one that supports our head and keeps it "balanced" on top of the spine. So I will be a workout fiend when the time comes but until then I know its ok to take it easy and slow.
