Many of the girls in my classroom read Nicholas Sparks. They love his stories and they seem to read before watching movies since some are now movies. I am sure I will enjoy it.

I am sure with summer not many will get The Guardian read but I still like it...one of those books that makes you think...and cry. I have lent it around my office and I had one lady ask to keep it a few extra days since her husband had picked it up and it was the first book he had shown interest in for years...he actually bought his own copy so he could read it again...lol

Now I have to budget two more books...lol

I agree--A Brief History of the Dead is a great book! Just so all know an Advance Placement student used the book for their essay. It really is a good read. I haven't read this months--I will get on that. Actually reading a history of the Black Death that analyzes the 1300s in Europe and raises the point that plague wasn't the only disease going on.

How did I miss this...

Catwoman...all I can say is wow...I want more books like the one you suggested. Obviously I got to catch up with one I already read this month. WOW

Oh my, I better get to looking up my questions. Does anyone mind if I post the questions in the evening of the 30th rather than the day of the 1st...I work all day.

Here is an updated version of the Book Club List. It has been really busy lately and after today I will be missing for most of the summer. We have books listed to read for all months except for November and December. If anyone would like to submit a book please add it to the thread. Remember the one who suggested the book will be the moderator at the first of each month for the discussion. Enjoy your summer and happy reading!
