All animals know, we have baby birds here. One little one fell out of the nest. The nest was not big enough for her/him with 2 other siblings. As I pulled into my spot, we saw this little one. He had a broken leg and internal injuries. There was nothing we could do, and we gave the little one the best funeral we could. Just broke my heart that I could do nothing more.

Every God's creatures have feelings, just like us. It's enough that we deal with it on a human level, I can't imagine how the animals do it.

Makes you wonder if the baby squirrel was sick or weak. BTW, what do you call a baby squirrel?

Back around the second week of May or so, I was at my grandmother's when I saw a young (almost grown) squirrel fall out of a tree, about twenty feet up. His mother came and got him, and carried him back up the tree (he was almost as big as she was). Well, I kept watching, and soon he fell again. This time he didn't move. His mama came after him again, and carried him across the yard, then back to their tree. But she couldn't carry him up; she kept falling. So she left him on the ground, and went a few feet up the tree where she could watch him. He wasn't moving; even from a distance I could see he was dead.

I went and told my grandmother; she came and got the young squirrel to dispose of him. The mama followed her, calling and calling for her baby. Finally, grandmother had to leave the baby at the foot of the tree where the mama could see it. Mama squirrel stayed for a long time, watching the baby and calling, then left.

Tell me animals don't have feelings!!
