That breeder gave you a line of bull! I used to breed Siamese and never saw anything like that, nor in the feral kittens I took care of. Good that you are taking both of them in--it could lead to finding out what Mia's problem is. Keep us posted--we care!

Well I havnt tried the Feliway plug in yet. As she's been poorly so wanted to wait untill she perked up abit. Sounds great thought. Deffonitly want to try it. I have both kittens booked in this friday. Mia for her final jab and Marley for his first jab (and obviously both a full body examination)
i think Mia will probley end up back at the vets tomorrow. I have just rang the vets and they said to try her on boiled chicken and rice. So we are making that up for her now. See if her little tummy can hack it!
The breeder said Marleys scabs on his nose were from brest feeding? They have cleared up abit now, But are a little worrying.
I will keep you updated on how they both get on.
*Fingers Crossed* its nothing serious

Thanks Honey x x

I'm fine, thanks, Lucy :)

Did you try the Feliway? I would have thought that would have helped quite a lot to de-stress Mia. People have had good results with it here. I would be a bit worried about the scabs around Marley's nose. If you have two cats, a good vet will often be happy to make a joint appointment -- maybe you should take Marley in with Mia (in different carriers, obviously)? It would be a good idea to at least start his jabs if he's old enough.

Hiya JCAT. hope you are ok??

Thanks for stopping by my post. My partner is convinced that it is Marley thats making her poorly, but i'm so glad you have suggested its not! Mia has had all her jabs (apart from the injection to go outside) as she is going to be a house cat. Marley hasnt had any jabs yet as we have only recently got him and the breeder only wormed and flead him. He may have picked something up from the home he came from, as i know the breeder also breed other cats such as bengals. He may have brought something home and passed it to Mia! He seems fine though and is eating and drinking Normally. We have a slight worry with Marley as he seems to breath quite heavily (especially when sleeping) He has really bad breath (worst then Mia's) and has scabs around his nose and Meows constantly but purrs alot! Do you think this is something of concern? and could be why Mia is ill??

Thanks x x

Hi, Lucy,

I'm so sorry you're having this problem with Mia. I think you need to keep in close contact with your vet and take her back today. I think it's unlikely that it's stress that's made Mia sick but Marley could have maybe passed on some kind of infection. If Mia has a tummy bug, then often the best way to get rid of it is to starve the bug -- I would think that's why your vet told you not to feed her for a while, but if she's not responding then I would take her back -- sometimes it can take a while to find the right answer. In the meantime, make sure she keeps drinking -- water or (better) pedialyte. You don't want her to get dehydrated and little kittens can get dehydrated so quickly with vomiting (which is why I would honestly keep going back to the vet).

Please keep in touch so we know how she's doing, poor little girl. {{{HUGS}}} to you and Mia.

Hi Everyone.

I have some seriouse problems with my little kitten Mia. I have posted sum posts a few days ago about a similas situation but just thought i would keep everyone updated and basically ask for some advice/help with her problems.

A few days ago we woke up to find Mia (15 weeks old) had been sick/diarrhea all over the floor. We kept her quiet in a bedroom that night and she didnt eat a thing, but drank lots of water. The next day she still wasnt eatting the food on the plate untill later that evening I decided to try and spoon feed her (which she ate) We thought things were looking up untill late that night she was sick AGAIN!! During this she has slept alot but at times has still be quite active! We took her to the vets the next morning and the vet said their wasnt any obvious problems - blockages but gave us some treatment to feed Mia through a syringe every hour for the rest of the day and told us to not feed her anything untill the next morning. Sooo this morning we tried her on her favourite kitty food but still NOTHING!!
We are really worried about her and have no clues. We will probley take her back to the vets today, but wondered if anybody else has been through this problem with a cat/kitten and can share some advice!!

Also... We recently bought a new kitten called Marley, they seem to be taking along time to get along with one another (still hissing/spatting) they do seem to be better then the first time but not 100% and its been almost 2 weeks. Could this have caused stress on Mia and force her to not eat and become Poorly??

Thanks everyone

Lucy x
