You can try and bottle feed him but if he rejects it know it's cuz he's growing up! If he'll take it then by all means go for it!

Thanks everyone!

Haha yes he is using his litterbox regularly. I'm very proud of him! He's growing up so fast!

I'm going to feed him every three hours then, I think, with about a teaspoonful or so.

Is it okay to still give him occasional bottle feedings? I read somewhere that they will still have the urge to nurse.

I found this site helpful..... and my Cuddles, though an old lady, has such a sensitive stomach, she pukes any brand of wet food..... so when I tried the pure Gerber or Beechnut baby food (she loves the chicken flavor), I was thrilled that she could keep it down..... it's very pure, no additives, and made for a human baby's senstive and imature digestive system, and it works just as well with felines.....

A teaspoonful 6 or 7 times a day. How old is he now? A tablespoon sounds a bit much for his tiny tummy - if it's too stretched he could be in discomfort. Little and often. Then he can digest easy.

Cowboy is growing up!! It all happens so fast! When mine finally went from formula to food, I fed them 4-6 times a day. As they got bigger I started cutting back as they could eat more. I am sure others will have more advice. I do know once they are off formula they grow up soooo quick!

Cowboy ate wet cat food today from a saucer!! I am so happy. I mixed in about a tablespoon of wet cat food with some of his formula and heated it up. I put it down in front of him and he was not interested at all until I put some on my finger and smeared it on his mouth. Then it sort of clicked for him that it tasted good and he was licking my finger like crazy. I kept on putting some on my finger until he got used to it and then gradually started leadig him to the dish. I lowered my finger into the dish and he then moved from my finger to the actual cat food and ate all of it!

I got him another tablespoonful and pretty much had to do the same thing and he ate all of that too. I'm so proud of him! I have been so worried about it! And for the past few days, he's been showing some signs, so I waited until I knew he was very hungry to try.

So I have a couple questions -
How much should I be feeding him?
And how often?

Thanks!!
