We do open the cafe every day and chat here throughout the day. At night, we usually meet on the Night Shift. The cafe seems quite slow today.</p> <p>Usually someone opens the cafe in the morning and the night shift at night. For instance, it's quite late tonight and noone's started a night shift, so I'm sure someone will in a little bit (anyone can start it). I made about 30 phone calls from work today and still didn't set one single appointment. I haven't gotten one all week and it's bothering me. I think we'll be done after next week with the calls for this show and it's coming down to the wire trying to get appointments and get companies to sign on. At least the others seem like they're really slow this week, too, so it's not just me.<br /> I'm going to research some companies from the gym tonight so I have a list ready to call in the morning. The more I call, the better the chance of getting appointments!</p> <p>I never made it to the mechanic today with my car. When I came home it was pouring and since I was going to drop it off and walk the 5 minutes home, that didn't work out.<br /> I'm supposed to go straight from one job to the other tomorrow, so unless I'm late for the gym, I won't be able to drop it then, either. And then it's the weekend. So far it's been mostly OK although a couple of years ago a neighbout knocked on the door and said "Do you realise you have a sewerage fountain coming from your inspection plate?" I went outside and he was right. It was shooting up about a foot into the air!!! I phoned the local authority, and because the blocked pipe was in the road, not on my property, it didn't cost anything. They came out quite quickly and they cleaned and disinfected the whole area really thoroughly.
