Ohhhh..I know how disappointed you must have been to learn this little bundle of black fur wasn't your beloved Midnight. Midnight would be very happy, and not the least bit surprised that you took in this lost little girl and vowed to care for her. I'm still praying that Midnight will find his way to you. As far as fitting in with the other kits....it's just such an individual thing that I can only say be patient as they come to know one another. Unless someone is being extremely unkind and hurtful, I'm sure they can come to terms on their own. However I hear that Feliway is an excellent product in maintaining calm for upset kits. I've not used it myself but many people here swear by it. =)

It's funny how God works sometimes, that this has brought you another baby in need of your help.

Congrats on the newest member of your household, sorry about not finding Midnight yet. If you look at the tags just added to this thread they may help, jcat just added some good comments to the 'my cat has just been spayed...' thread which may help. Be patient, it takes time with everyone having to readjust their pecking order within the household.

My missing kitten poster for my 4 month old black kitten Midnight resulted in a one month old black kitten, starving and filthy being brought to me. Of course, I took the kitten in. Mama, Chester and Scooter reacted poorly to this tiny inavder, hissing at her. I fed the poor baby and will wash her with a damp cloth tomorrow during the heat of the day. I still intend to go to our animal shelter tomorrow to take one last search for Midnight, but I will have to lock the new kitten in her own room until I know it is safe for her to be around the other cats. Does anybody have any idea how long it will take for her to be accepted by the older cats and the 4 month old Chester?
