Good job, LCC! I'm glad Sweetie Pie is doing so well. It's nice to hear from the vet that you've been doing the right things to keep her healthy. :)

Ok well I did take her to the vet. And they said she was healthy. She didn't have lukemia. And she says that I've been doing good. She also isn't dehydrated. I'm happy. :) And about spaying me and my parents have been talking about it and we might.

LCC, I added a pink tag ("heat") to your post. If you click on it, you'll see another thread from someone whose cat -- even though spayed -- was behaving as if she hadn't been spayed. If you read it, you'll get an idea of what it's like to have an unspayed cat in the house. And if Sweetie does get out, despite your best efforts, and get pregnant, then that's not necessarily without health risks (and vet bills) too. You have a few months to think about it, perhaps do your own research and make a considered opinion as to what's best for Sweetie Pie. Remember, if Sweetie did have kittens, she could have as many as five! Could you find good homes for all of them? As Lainey says, it's something you should take into consideration.

I can understand your being apprehensive, however it is part of being a responsible pet owner. Even though you have the best of intentions to never let her out, when her hormones take over she will do whatever she can to get out, no matter how much of a good kitty she is, it's just nature. PLUS there will be a lot of Tom's coming around and making a lot of noise and THAT will probably make your parents very unhappy. As for your dog that got neutered there could have been some underlying issues as there is not internal cutting that needs to be done when a male is neutered. Females get cut open. Also, you will be ensuring her continued health as non-spayed females have higher chances of getting life threatening cancer's later down the road. Something to think about. You obviously love your Sweetie Pie, please do right by her.

Thank you!
It's just I know dogs and cats are different but I had a dog get neutered and there was problems at home and her intestines and organs came out! Ever since then I've kinda been afraid of that happening to my animals. And for some reason I'm kind of against it. No ofence. Although it seems best.

You might want to check into a low cost spay/neuter program in your area. The cost is a lot less that through a regular vet if you can't afford what it will cost at the vet. Female cats start going into heat as early as five or six months. They make quite a racket yowling for a male to mate with and will want to get out of the house. Male cats will be trying to get to her so you are likely to hear them yowling back at her all night long. It only takes one escape for her to get impregnated. Something to think about....but one thing at a time. :)

Here is a link about low cost spay/neuter programs in Ohio:

The vet can give her subcutaneous fluid (injecting water under her skin). This is the quickest way to rehydrate a dehydrated cat. You might want to write down all the questions you'd like the vet to answer for you. You are doing a great job with her!

Ok Thank you and I will!I hope she's ok. I think she's a little De-hydrated, and I hope they can get that fixed, Cause I tried to and can't really get her in-dehydrated.
Oh and Idk about getting her spayed. MY parents are mad enough of having to pay for taking her there. And I don't really plan on her getting out.

Yay for poop!!! :D It is definitely something we celebrate here. What a relief. lol

I'm happy your Sweetie Pie is doing better. She must feel so much better after being stopped up for so many days. I hope she becomes more regular in her elimination. Thank goodness your parents are going to take her to get her checked out. It will be important for her to be tested for cat diseases and you will find out when she should get her shots. I hope you will get her spayed as there are so many unwanted kittens already looking for homes without more being added.

I can't wait to hear more about how she's doing. Please let us know what the vet says. :)

OH my goodness! I'm so happy. I've literally been crying over this, from the fear of my little Sweety Pie dieing. I would have taken her to the vet. But as I said I'm only 14 and don't have the money and my parents won't. But guess what else? I finally got them to take her. They will tomorrow. I think she's gonna make it. I'm so happy!!!! :)
