Her body type is probably what my body would be if I got down to my ideal weight, which for a woman who is 5'7" (1.7 meters) is 135 pounds (nearly 10 stone or 61 kilograms). I'd have the muffin top without the excuse of having had a bun in the oven. ;)

Hahaha...She's only 20? Hmmmmm..I did not have a stomach like that when I was 20. Now...however, at age 58 it's a whole different story. That type of, excuse the term, flab, at that age, when the rest of her body looks reasonably toned, make me think she may have had a weight loss. I could be wrong.

Completely true about the muscles, K...but she is only 20...kinda doubt she has went through pregnancy and/or lots of weight fluctuations...although it is a possibility, of course...

I think that anytime there has been weight gain...then loss...the muscles definitely require a little exercise in order to flatten the tummy. With my second pregnancy (which presented problems throughout) I lost a few lbs. due to the diet I was given and yet I still needed to tighten my tummy muscles after such a stretching. This photo in this magazine is a true representation of real women...but I'm sure it will never become the norm for magazine modeling. There are too many years of preconceived notions of sex and sales. =(

I think she is beautiful, too. I think it's nice to see a photo of a woman who is not stick-thin...and it certainly is nice for teen-aged girls to see. She looks healthy and vibrant. Jadete, I doubt that exercising would make much of a difference...she is slightly plump. She very well could have a six-pack underneath her layer of fat. But only weight loss would make her stomach flat. I find it refreshing to see a pic like this in Glamour magazine.

Does that mean I have no hope to be as skinny as her, Jadete?

I have one of those also. Carrying two babies like a front end loader will do that to you.

The article says she's 20 yrs old. Heck, I'm 47 and I have a tummy like that! She'd better start exercising or she's going to look really bad when she gets to my age.

She is beautiful. But the magazine is full of ***t, claiming the credit for such an 'enlightened' approach by representing Everywoman, then back to business as usual with the stick insects parading through the rest of the pages.
