I've never won but I have hope! My dad won a raffle at our local (big) carnival. He won 2nd prize, a lawn tractor... sold it for $1000! I also knew someone who won a car there. I wanted to see if I would win anything (some of the lower prize levels were better for me than the grand prize), but I never got anything. It was fun, though, to see what would happen and to see how many contests are out there.
