It's 10.50pm here in NZ, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

Had another light migraine just as I was leaving work. Thank fully got some ibruprophen (sp?) in time. I think drinking the Earl grey tea triggered it. Need to stay away from caffeine. Ate a nice dinner and am feeling better. Interesting enough this evening was talking to the property manager and it seems the unit on the third floor on the back of the complex will be available the end Oct! I have to say I am not sure I want to even stay here so it maybe a moot point to get interested in it. If I want to move to the unit the property mgr will treat it like being a new tenant and would have to go through inspection in the old place and pay a new deposit on the new unit. Not sure I can swing this and I may consider that I prefer a much easier commute and want to move closer to work. All something to think about in the next couple of weeks.
Got an email from my Dad seems my Great Aunt was recovering from her respiratory infection and seemed to be doing better but as of today isn't eating any solid food and only taking liquids. It seems one day she is good and the next is not. We will see what the nurse says when she sees her on Sat.

Well, it sounds like Cali got you trained very well and in a relatively short period of time. It's nice that Max gets the bed with you at night - I bet he enjoys the alone time. I wish my boys would sleep with me, but they never do. Mi used to come sleep with me on and off when he was little and it was cold, but he doesn't any more.
Last time I did laundry, I washed the mattress cover and instead of putting it back on the bed (it makes it even hotter than usual), I folded it up on the bed and kind of forgot about it. Turns out Mi loves the thing. He goes in between the folded layers and goes to sleep, purring away in his little cave. Whenever I can't find him, that's usually where he is :)

So glad Wilma is doing better. Having had a blockage myself the past few days, I can relate to her pain! Won't upset anyone with how my day went, but wanted to chirp in for a minute.

I've spent a lot of time in Florida, and I love it, no matter what the weather. My folks lived there for 20 years, and I used to visit a lot, mostly during our winters here. Cali is adorable! She is so sweet, and tries to play with Max. He'll tussle with her on and off, but he has his ears down and that doesn't look too friendly to me. She's been with us for about 6 months now, and has just recently become more lovable to me. Max has dibs on the bed, though, so she usually doesn't come in during the night. She waits until 5:45 or 6 a.m., jumps on the bed, then jumps up on my dresser (it's pretty tall) and starts her "hollering"--meaning "get up and feed me"!!There is no deterring her after that point--she has me well trained so I just get up and give her breakfast. Max and I go back to bed then.

Thanks for the hugs, AV. Max is sitting here watching me type and he says "thank you, my friend!"

MCM!... so glad Maxie is feeling better.... I swear the baby food meat (stage one only) has improved Cuddles hairball situation... I use it as a treat, and to give her and crush her meds in it...... but it has helped her get more liquid in her, and her hairballs are better!.... she also likes the laxatone, that seems to do well also!..... ((((Maxie))))

Max and I took a trip to the vet today. He's been experiencing some constipation (sorry, I know we're having dinner) and the Dr. felt he should see him. He's ok, Doc gave him a shot and said I should give him some hairball treatment for a couple of days. Poor Max was in dire straits the other night, had to resort to the rubber glove and vaseline, and he seems to be fine now. He's not even mad at me for taking him to the vet--he's such a good kitty! Everybody says he's so handsome!!

I just ate dinner, baked chicken breast breaded with egg & Ritz crackers, boiled potatoes and a big green salad. So I really don't need any more food tonight.

Mollycat-so happy to hear Wilma is home and feeling better. My best wishes for your sister, too.

GD-glad to hear there are no problems with GG.

KK-you're just going into summer and we're headed for winter. UGH! I DO NOT LIKE WINTER any more. Wish I could retire to Florida.

Yay for Wilma returning from the vet! I'd love a cheeseburger and some potato salad and corn on the cob. I've got one dilemma - I don't think blueberry martinis go too well with barbeque....

I had a good day today - found out GG wasn't mad at me like I thought, ran a lot of errands and had nice sushi lunch with Panera Friend (no, not at Panera!)

How was everyone's day?

Wilma is home and I want to have a party for her return. Let's fire up the jukebox and open the windows. It is a nice cool, late summer night here and Wilma is taking in the fresh air thru a screen. The NS kittehs are preparing a bbq buffet. They also have some picnic sides like corn on the cob, beans with bacon, potato salad, macaroni salad, lettuce salads, lemonade, ice tea, and all sorts of beverages from the bar. There is ice cream for dessert. Please join us in celebrating Wilma's return from the kitty hospital.
