can u see his poo at the entrance f the anus? does his anus look slightly open? sometimes what we do at the shelter here is to syringe in some KY jelly into the bums. u will hv to use a small syringe though (1 cc) and the synrin ge ould have to be lubricated adequately too before insertion. You cannout insert the syringe too deep when you're doing this. Once you're in (I push it in till the ~0.1 cc marking for a slightly older kitten), push out the K into his anal cavity. Sometimes kitties stop trying cuz it hurts too much as the hardened poo grazes and scratches their anal walls. This lubricates their walls enough and makes it less painful. All said, I'd advise you to ask a vet to demonstrate the proper procedure to you first. Good luck.

Hi..if you are really really concerned, there are are few people on here who have tried to help their kitties poop by using a warm wet cloth and gently rubbing and massaging their bum hole to stimulate what mommy would do. I haven't had to do it myself but someone on here will be more experienced in that kind of thing!

Having said that...is there an emergency animal hosptial you can take her too? Google it for your city and they might be able to help if you are really concerend she won't make it through the night

Are you stimulating him to go? Kittens need to have their butts gently rubbed to encourage them to go.

Some people have had success with a tiny bit of olive oil in kitty's food. You might also try rubbing a little bit of olive (or vegetable) oil on his little butt.

The more liquid he has the easier it will be for him to go.

Please look at the pink tags in the upper right hand corner of this page. Kittens and poop are something we talk about a lot here and there are some good suggestions in some of the posts.

This one has a video attached to it: http://www.dailykitten.com/chat/topic/19366
