SMM I was thinking about a little doggie sweater for her. The vet said if she keeps itching I could get her a E-collar or try a little sweater on her so she leaves the area alone. I just don't know how well she would take to a sweater but there sure are some cute orange ones out there for Halloween!

Yes, poor Wilma without her fur. I bet she feels a bit self-conscious not to mention a bit cooler too. Would Wilma wear a small sweater or jacket or does she just prefer the heating pad on Momma? Hope she continues to improve and get back to her old self. Wilma the hoover cat (at least for now)..

Yea for Wilma eating!!!!! So glad all the prayers were answered. Sorry poor Wilma had to endure anotyher surgery and get shaved. I am sure she looks like a Franken-Kitty with all the shaved spots and long scar. Are you feeling better, MC? I hope so.

I am not sure if it is Wilma but SOMEONE is eating me out of house and home. First night she was home I got up and their kitty bowl of dry cat food was so clean I think someone licked the bowl. Almost the same thing today, though not entirely empty! Plus the baby food was gone and most of the water.

Wilma is slowly reintegrating herself into her old life here at home. She is sitting on the window ledge watching the birds go by. She is watching the people walk their dogs too. Betty is still in hiding but we did get a little positive contact between the two last night. Betty looked at Wilma without hissing so I think we are making progress.

I agree with Ailuromaniac - it's back to bland basic liquid food for miss Wilma for now. Cats become anorexic when they've been sick and have to be actively encouraged to want to eat again. I think it might also be a time for a syringe and chicken broth, plain, home-made, no salt or spices. After a day or two of that and fluids, mush some plain cooked chicken into it so it's a liquid mush and try her with that on a teaspoon.

Oh Miss SpunkyPants, thank goodness you are home!!!! Now you must eat like a little piggy and get well!!

MC, when my sweet Bombalurina was so sick, there was one thing that she could never pass up. It was raw sushi grade tuna from the fish counter at the store. We would cut it into little slivers and she never failed to eat that. Also, our vet said to get bottled clam juice and see if she would lap that up. She did for a while, but always preferred the tuna.

People have had good luck giving baby food, too. Or, get out your blender and make Miss Wilma some pureed cheezeburgers. Or whatever she likes best!

Many, many hugs being sent.

Joins in the happy dancing. I don't think I could say it better than Kilroy -- YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Welcome home, Miss Spunky Pants! Healing energies racing their way towards you! Does she like grated cheese? Most of my cats have... and cream cheese and whipped cream (oh, so bad for them but food treats nonetheless...)

MC, just a thought but did they test for lead poisoning? Symptoms are gastro distress and depression. I just remembered you saying you lived in an old house, no flaking lead paint anywhere Wilma could have gotten into?

Awww, Dara, you have to eat too! YOu need to get big and strong!
