<description>&#60;p&#62;Cats are perfectly fine with you having a working schedule.  As long as you have plenty of water out for George and food either out on demand or on a regular schedule and you pay attention to him when you are home, he is fine.  I have 3 cats (Gracie, Emma and Thierry Henry) and they are home alone from 8-4:30 every day.  Cat's sleep most of the day away while you are gone.  You can also leave a radio or the telly on for him while you are gone to give him something to listen to.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I work 9-5 mon-fri i went to buy some fish food and my local pet shop had my lovely George (male 11 wk old) i told the pet shop lady my situ an she said its fine. Cats are very independant. i fell in love and brought him.&#60;br /&#62;
I have stayed withhim every wkend and managed to get off early or start late the 2 weeks i have had him.&#60;br /&#62;
But i cant keep it up forever he has lots of toys , i live i quite a large one bed flat but...... is it unfair on him?? I love him lots i spend every min i can with him but i dont know if its enough
