If you liked this book, there is one similarly written (past and present mixed) by Neal Pert, who is the drummer for the rock group "Rush". It is called "Ghost Rider". It's about the devastating losses he experienced and his subsequent taking to the road on his bike. It's a long read but I enjoyed it.

I totally enjoyed this book! I learned so much about places in the world that I will probably never see. I also learned that you can come from nothing and make something of yourself. I had no idea when reading some of his other books that he had been thru so much. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

MC, I am so embarrassed to say that I never got a chance to read the book. :-( And I know that I would have enjoyed it because I really do like Nicholas Sparks. So many books - so little time! I'm sorry!!!!

I liked the book. I liked how he switched so effortlessly between his here and now and the past. I was caught up in both story lines. I'm glad I read it. I have always liked the books of his I have read but felt they were so sad--now I know why they are sad. I want to re-read and read his other books now that I know the story of his life it will add interest to them. I enjoyed him and I also found that I admired him a great deal. He was an overcomer

Hi and Welcome to the October edition of the TDK bookclub. The book we were reading for this month was "Three Weeks With My Brother" by Nicholas Sparks (chosen by me, MC). I am not sure how many of you were able to read this novel but these questions will be here for you to come back to later. As winter approaches I know I read more and I suspect many of you do as well. I hope you enjoyed the book, I am always nervous when it is something I have picked. My first question to you all is:

1. What was your general opinion of the book? Are you glad you read it? Any lessons learned? Did you enjoy the author, Nicholas Sparks?
