They know they get the "sloppy food" in the evening; when I am home all day they don't beg at all until 4 PM. At 4 PM they both sit very near me looking very alert. At 4:30 PM they start "yawning" - opening and closing their mouths, and cocking their heads to the side to look at me. At 5 PM they both start "asking" for food. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. MEEEEOOOOOW. MEEEEEOOOOW. At about 5:15 PM I give in. They only get a quarter of a can of sloppy food each, but they do love it. I find it amusing to watch their antics. </p> <p>If you decide to keep Sophie only on the dry food, her pooping may be a little less frequent. Or less in size. This is OK. Her body will adapt. So hopefully she goes soon!</p> <p>Yes I totally want to do that..but because she is so picky about her food, I want to make sure she get used to having dry around most of the time and understands that wet food is a treat. I will likely do some wet at night and set dry food out throughout the day. With a change from wet to dry, she isn't getting as much liquid as she's used to and that can definitely cause some constipation. Make sure she has lots of water.</p> <p>Maybe you could give her both wet and dry food. If you have someone coming in once a day to feed her, they could give her some canned food each day. Just wondering if that is normal for her body to adjust to the change?</p> <p>I know there is some debate about wet and dry, but the long of the short is I travel a bit and I have friends cat sit and just can't get people to come by twice a day to feed her wet, so I had to get her onto dry and give her wet ocassionally.</p> <p>Thanks. </p>
