Hi, Temair. Welcome to the Daily Kitten! Kittens and poop problems are quite commonly discussed here. :)

Most kittens do learn to cover their poop. Some take longer than others so be patient. It may be that he was separated a bit too early from his mother as they learn how to bury their poop from mom. Some here have suggested showing your kitten how to bury the poop. Praising the kitten when it buries its poop will reinforce this behavior.

Do you have a mat in front of the litter box he can use to get nasty bits off of his paws? Is his poop well-formed or runny?

There are many threads on the Daily Kitten that deal with poop issues. Click on the tags at the top of this thread to find them.

Is that your kitten in your avatar? He looks like a sweetheart. What is his name? Please keep posting to let us know how he is doing. If you click on my avatar you can see pictures of my three kits, Digit, Furl and Boots. :)

Here is a helpful thread: http://www.dailykitten.com/chat/topic/11136

I have a new 3 month old kitten that is having problems burying his poop and then he walks in it so I have to bathe him so he doesn't get it all over the house. How do I stop him from walking in it and show him how to bury properly? He really tries but doesn't seem to get it.
