It's 10.00 pm here in NZ, ... cool to nice in USA and the night is cool in NZ ..... it's be time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
Gone to today's Cafe, see you there.

Trufflesmom, what a marvelous program. I remembered seeing something on it last memorial day. I know my dad would have wanted to go and we would have tried our hardest to see that he did.
Due to lack of experience in the manfriend department, I don't feel adequate to discuss the other topic! Hang in there ladies!

(((MC))) I thought it sounded like he was bringing her up a lot, even before what you told us today. I'm surprised to hear it's been three years since he was divorced - it sounded like maybe it wasn't that long ago. I know when I started dating after breaking up with the live-in boyfriend I was supposed to marry, it took a long time to get over it and I know I was guilty of bringing him up a lot on dates. I went out with one guy who was recently divorced and all we did was compare exes. He was very nice and all, but neither one of us were ready to date yet.
I'm glad FF is back talking with you today - that's a good sign. I do think he's worth working with as well, so hang in there.

Sweet dreams, MCW! Glad you found at least one ping pong ball. MC, good to clear the air with FF and tell him how it all makes you feel being compared. How long has he been divorced now? I was once told that it takes half the amount of the marriage to heal/grieve. I was married three years so that means it will take me 1 1/2 years. I will be at the one year come next February.

Work was very busy and I am happy to see that I have only 25 minutes till I get to leave w**k and go out into a mess of a commute as it is still pouring rain out.

I have made mention of it before but last night for some reason it really got under my skin. I brought it up and he changed the subject so I brought it up again and he tried (unsuccessfully) to change it a THIRD time. Yes, I do hope he got the idea loud and clear. Hopefully we will go forward from here. I don't think he realizes how hurtful that is to me. I never compare him to any ex's I have. He was married ten years. Goodnight MCW

Excellent conversation MC. Manfriend and I don't seem to be able to hold a conversation for more than 15 minutes !

I have spoken up about a particular phrase the Manfriend uses for the 3rd or 4th time now... and he never remembers the prior conversations. Frustrating

Actually I got a NZ Cadbury fruit and nut bar and we did a blind taste comparison. She got the British one straight away - she had been craving for some British Cadburys!

Afternoon/morning all. It's an overcast day with rain forecast this afternoon. I've been in the garden planting zucchini and weeding ready for more summer fruiting plants to go in when I buy them. Shadz stayed out all night and came in at 6am and went straight to bed on Airy's bed. It's so cute, she loves having Airy home.
Mmmmmmm rum, just a wee splash this way please, I have the coke ready and waiting.

Yeah GD, PLEASE! We were chatting on Yahoo last night and he said something AGAIN about his ex wife. I told him I was so sick and tired of always being compared to (and it seems like not measuring up to) his exwife. It's always "My ex-wife would have" or "my exwife would have worn..." and blah blah blah. Or the "When I was married I/we....." I told him to get over it! Its been three years since they were divorced and she was already sleeping around on him three years before the divorce. I know that hurt but it is what he told me. I reminded him that she had no problem getting over him as she got married almost immediately after the ink dried on their divorce. He then goes into a tirade about what would I know? I have never been married! WHAT? I have never been hurt or screwed over? YES, I have! We talked about some things very few people know about me. It was hard but necessary. I feel like he is worth working with so I shared. I told him it was her memory or me. I was not going to spend all my time with him reminiscing about his marriage that didn't work. I don't want to always be compared to her and not meet those standards. I really blew up and tore into him. I know he was hurt, I know she took him financially, but that is OVER. If he wants someone in his life, he has to move on. Build new memories, traditions and expectations. I think after chatting for 8.5 hours he got it. He just called and you would swear we never had that conversation last night. He was all happy go lucky and telling me about his yearly fire department exam and that on the way home his engine blew in his truck (he ended up buying a new one then!). Oh, I just don't understand men and their motives. Or why they get hung up on some women.....

Hi MC - here - have a trim latte with a shot of vanilla (or you may prefer rum as it's Navy Day!).

They keep telling me that they're not paying me the bonus until they get the check from the company I set them up with. XBF told me thy already filmed the segment - don't know why thye'd do that before getting the payment. It's past the 45 days they had to pay.
I'm getting good nights of sleep and not so good. I had dog-sitting over the weekend and have been staying over with GG as well. e lives 5 minutes from the gym but 25 minutes from me so it's always a hassle tying to figure things out - getting Bobby his pill, working late etc. I was half an hour late for practice again this morning because I had half an hour drive to get to the tennis club. Better than sleeping with bed bugs at my place or without bed bugs in my car, though.
