Sorry that it cost so much Angel, but glad that Biddy seems ok. These emergency vets are racketeers, just awful how much they charge, and how little they seem to care - I have personal experience of that too. Maybe take Biddy to your own vet next week to see what they suggest.

Well, it only took 4 hours at the vet for them to tell me nothing. They did all kinds of blood tests and they were all normal. After $250 I had to stop them because I just don't have money right now being unemployed. They wanted an additional 400 plus dollars to do lung x rays on him to see if he was having lung issues. He is home and eating now so I will keep an eye on him and maybe xbf can come up with some money to help pay for his vet bills. I don't think I will be going back to this vet though because the doctor only spent about 2 minutes in the room with Biddy and me and didn't really say anything to me. My normal vet was closed it being Saturday and we all know cats don't get sick from Saturday noon until 8 am Monday morning.

Biddy seems to be ok for now so I am going to just watch him and wait.

Biddy is 6 years old and has never had any health problems. All his vet checkups are normal and healthy. I will take him to the vet today to see if there is anything more serious going on.

I would take him to the vet if you possibly can, Angel. The open-mouth breathing could be more serious than just a snuffly nose, it could be a heart problem, fluid on the lungs, or another respiratory issue. The snuffly nose could be another symptom of that. How old is he, and is that him in your avatar?

Biddy has been having trouble breathing. He has been breathing through his mouth since early this morning. I leaned in close and it sounds like he is stuffed up and can't breath through his nose. Any suggestions to clear up his stuffiness? He doesn't feel like he is feverish and otherwise seems normal. He just has his mouth open all the time so he can breathe. Please send your white light and prayers for Biddy.
