Hi all, not much going on in the cafe today. I'm having a very lazy day today after a long one yesterday. Worked in the morning, met my Panera friend for tea, went shopping for a last-minute costume and went to a Halloween party with GG, his brother and a friend of ours from the gym. I'm not much of a party-goer, but I had a good time.
Slept in at GG's and watched a football game and took a nap. Now he's golfing for a little while and I went home to see the boys. I'm sitting outside right now while Bobby is exploring the yard. Mi doesn't want to go outside because I put a leash on him.
I hope everyone had a nice Halloween and a nice weekend.

Hello everyone :)
Finally sitting down to breakfast...had to make waffles and sausage. Once we are done, Wayne is going to play with the girls so I can vacuum and do some things without them in the way.
I will be posting pictures of Halloween very soon....

Garbo brought her first mouse in this morning (at about 5.00) oh joy! When I got up to clear up I couldn't find a mouse at all (although I had clearly seen her playing with a deceased rodent) but I did find some feathers. Now, what do I do? Must I search the whole house for two "former" creatures or shall I rely on her having eaten them both?

Good afternoon one and all. Watching the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (boring) and thinking about whether to go to an audition today or do it on 10th Nov. instead.

It was lashing it down this morning, but the sun has just come out and it's getting warmer - it's about 60 F now.

AV, you know I'm envious of you: I wish it were even close to 80 here, let alone 90 -- I'd still be gardening, albeit fast-growing stuff like spinach, peas, and beets. At least I got an extra hour of sleep, so I'm somewhat bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I'd like a brioche with maple syrup and butter, some yoghurt with blueberries and bananas (please excuse British/international spelling of "yogurt"; I'm still not fully awake yet), scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns with onions and cheese, and a big glass of tomato juice. I'm trying to drive another cold out of me, mere weeks after I drove one cold out of me. I tried the remedy of rubbing the soles of my feet with Vicks VapoRub and putting socks on before going to bed; I guess if I had put white socks on (per the instructions on this website I found) instead of these groovy-colored socks I had knit at least two years ago, the remedy might have worked better.

Morning, all. I'm noodling around getting ready for our CA trip, trying to talk myself into going to the gym. Mr. K went for a bike ride, but I just didn't feel like it.

Good news, my fill-in hair dresser worked out fine & my hair looks OK More good news, we took Mr. K's sister out for dinner last night (the one who just got diagnosed with dementia) and she was having a good day, so that was good for everyone involved.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

Morning, dummy that I am forgot it was clock changing time. Was toodling around the house and couldn't figure out why my favorite news show wasn't on. Doing laundry, upset the paper wasn't here, and generally clueless. Then I glanced at the computer clock and DUH! It was 445am NOT 545am! So I laid back down! How is everyone today? Have a good Halloween? Another year, no ghoulies or goblins at our house! Yay! Today is a busy housework day and then Indy Colts football later! Happy Day to you all!

Morning all!..... slept "late" in my book (7:45am)... and then realized, it's only 6:45!.... actually good for me, I won't be late anymore in the mornings now!.....This gives me some time this morning to "goof off" before I have to go w**k a little today... taking a client out for a couple of hours.... we didn't have many little trick or treaters, a few - so that means LEFTOVER candy!..... I think I'll take it to the office Monday, as I don't like candy and Hubbs doesn't NEED it.....

How is everyone this fine morning?..... it just can't be November! it's still 90 degrees!!!...... when oh when will we get a break!?!

I had a great day, thanks Deb, got everything done I wanted to! It was a beautiful spring day here too though apparently the rain's settling back in for the rest of the week :( And tomorrow I have to get up early -- doing a story on a farmhouse being done up in Martinborough, it's supposed to be beautiful but neither I nor the photographer have seen it yet so we've no idea what it will be like...

Morning, all, hope the ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night didn't disturb your slumbers. I expect, as you've all 'fallen back' and it's Sunday morning that this is a *very* early morning cafe for some.

A pinch and a punch, the first of the month, and no returns! The kitties have ordered in breakfast from the best local bakers in town, we have fresh brioches and croissants and Danish, we have fruit and yoghurt and muesli, we have wholemeal toast and homemade jam and, of course, anything else you would like cooked to your order -- bacon and hash browns, scrambled eggs and omelettes, pancakes with real maple syrup. Come in and relax for a bit before you begin your day...
