But he would still then try his luck with Winnie, since she's his only hope. How long ago was she spayed? If it was fairly recently (within the last 2 months), she could still be secreting the hormones and pheromones that would make Oreo amorous . . . As far as the scratches go, I wouldn't worry too much. Just watch out for absesses forming. Sometimes it makes a lump, and the fur on the spot falls out, kitty would also be rubbing/scratching the area (apparently it itches like crazy). Keep a close eye on them to be sure there is no swelling or discharge. They're both fixed, but once in a while, Oreo tries to...um...have him way with Winnie. She doesn't go into heat, so I don't know what sets him off or why he even does that.<br /> Before she just swatted at him and growled, but lately she's been making contact and scratching him. I'm worried these scatches might get infected.<br /> I wash off the scratch and put Neosporin on it. What can I do to clean his scratches or to stop him from being interested in Winnie?
