Thank you so much for your replies. Winnie's been fixed since she was less than a year old, so why he's interested, I don't know. We do live across the street from a park, so maybe there's a stray female there.
Thanks!

It possible that there are other females on heat in your area - Oreo would behave just like a usual unaltered male, I dont think they ever realise they're shooting blanks . . . But he would still then try his luck with Winnie, since she's his only hope. How long ago was she spayed? If it was fairly recently (within the last 2 months), she could still be secreting the hormones and pheromones that would make Oreo amorous . . . As far as the scratches go, I wouldn't worry too much. Just watch out for absesses forming. Sometimes it makes a lump, and the fur on the spot falls out, kitty would also be rubbing/scratching the area (apparently it itches like crazy). Usually it's fairly straight forward to treat it with antibiotics.

I hope Oreo figures out the "no" means "no" for his sake. ;)

It sounds like you are doing all you can to treat his scratches. Keep a close eye on them to be sure there is no swelling or discharge. As for stopping him from being aggressive with Winnie, how about trying Feliway?

Oreo is 12 years old and Winnie is about the same age. They're both fixed, but once in a while, Oreo tries to...um...have him way with Winnie. She doesn't go into heat, so I don't know what sets him off or why he even does that.
Before she just swatted at him and growled, but lately she's been making contact and scratching him. I'm worried these scatches might get infected.
I wash off the scratch and put Neosporin on it. What can I do to clean his scratches or to stop him from being interested in Winnie? Thank you very much!
