However, her brother, my little Reebok RIP, never caught on. Every once in a while he would try but he would slip in. Then we we be stuck chasing a wet AND dirty cat through the house. It was funny...I'd get woke up in the middle of the night hearing what I thought was running water. I was shocked when I went into the bathroom to find a kit balancing all 4's on the seat &amp; looking proud that he learned a new thing. He eventually taught my tortie Julie (may she RIP) to do the same thing. I never trained them. They taught themselves from (I'm assuming) watching their humans &amp; were smart enuf to know that's what toilets were for.<br /> It may be an interesting concept &amp; easy for a household w/1 or 2 cats that are open to the idea but, not all are. It is a bit of work, but to be spared the hassle of litter box duties makes it worth it to me. I suppose a lot of people have outdoor cats, in which case there's no need for this. But for those with primarily indoor cats, this could really be great. And I'm not really sure you need to start them when they're young. I'm intrigued by the possibility. It sounds too good to be true, but the chance to be free of litter box duties is making me think it just might be worth a try, when things settle down a bit and they are not too stressed by other changes. I think I could save a small fortune in litter fees, as well as time sifting the litter. Then again, it may not work for ALL cats.
