Cat Attract is a cat litter additive that helps cats learn where to go. I highly recommend adding some to the cat litter. (Switching back to the brand and specific variety of litter he used to use is also strongly recommended.)

Ask the lady that gave him to you what brand of litter he used and get some. Also, next time he "poos" pick it up and put it in the litter box, then put him in there with it so he can smell it......

Ok. Now i have 2 fur kittys. My first one Bruin is 7 months old and my new little guy Calvin is almost 8 weeks old. Calvin came home yesterday and will not use a litter box. At first i thought it may be because of Bruins smells being in it. Calvin has pee'd next to the back door in the kitchen and pooped in the corner of the bathroom behind the toilet. I put an additional litter box in each of those places and he still will not use it. I spoke to the girl who gave us the kitten and she said he had been using it at her house for 2 weeks now without incident.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can try. Please any suggestions are welcome. I love him so much already and do not want my husband to tell me he has to go back.
