PH is FINALLY attempting to seal the roof; we've got this nasty mold growing at the intersection of ceiling and wall, and I want to take a huge bottle of bleach and clean it off, but if I do it now, he'll complain about the bleach smell, plus he says he wants the walls to dry first before wiping off the mold. I want to tell him, "Um, hey, @$$#0le, that could be why you've been complaining of not feeling well for the past few years now," but that would require him to use logic and reason, neither of which he exercises often. Right now I'm listening to some classic tunes: Mariah Carey (when she was still sweet and classy instead of looking trashy), Led Zeppelin, Luther Vandross, Pink Martini, -- am I at the age when I prefer cheesy listening (I'm only 38), or does one already have to have liked the songs when they were relatively new to enjoy them as cheesy listening? When I moved in September I had a nice but way too large oak dining table that he took apart, sanded down and just never quite put it back together project....gave it to one of the young men that helped move my stuff because he said he could actually put it together and his family didn't have a dining table. I'm MORE than ready to have my renovated kitchen COMPLETED. It's been half-ass for almost all that twenty-year time frame. We have two small countertop pieces to buy. Hubs finally made the paper pattern after talking about it for a couple of years (lol). There's tiling to finish on the walls under the cabinets, and a small hallway to strip. We have a chair rail in the hallway and lots of pretty oak trim that needs to meet Mr. Heat Gun(tm) and then get brought back to its original beauty. Then paint whatever's not covered by ceramic tile, replace the flooring, finishing touches around the back French doors and kitchen window... and gee. It will be time to move (lol). </p> <p>We got some custom ceramic tiles made for us (a dozen decorative tiles) when we sold a very fancy necklace three years ago. The tile cost exactly the amount we got for the necklace :-) Probably will be the ONLY time I get custom anything, and doggone it...
