I'd rather have a healthy, sane pauper lead us than a wealthy heir(ess) with severe emotional problems. If our grandparents had our technology when they were young people, every person in this country would be on an even playing field without regard to race, color, sex, or nationality. As it is, theoretically we are on an even playing field; realistically (unfortunately), it's still an uphill battle for women, people of color, and immigrants to attain the same level of respect the WASP man enjoys in this land.
