They accept VPI, ASPCA and one other. They said that their clients were most pleased with the ASPCA coverage. The basic level covers accidents and serious illnesses. (don't know what they consider 'serious'), but the next level is more sensible because it covers annual exams and routine shots. That's the one I would choose if the cost is not too prohibitive. Most of the companies will give a quote over the Internet as long as you put some basic information in. The one I found to be relatively reasonable was ASPCApetinsurance.com Although they, like others add on a 'service' charge of about $10.00 / invoice if you do payments instead of paying the yearly amount up-front.<br /> In reading some literature on the subject, I found out that veterinarians often have health insurance that they sell in their offices. I'm going to check that out and see if its competitive. Good idea, because why buy insurance if the vet I use does not accept it?? </p> <p>Still looking for anyone who has had good or bad experiences with pet health insurance who can give some advice. The most expensive thing on an indoor cat seems to be dental, and the coverage is not enough to make it worth while. This was invaluable when my old cat Titch became diabetic, as it meant I could put in claims every six months for his special diet food and his insulin.</p> <p>I also look at it from point of view of one off expensive incidents. My husband's company recently began to offer it through Met-Life, so I decided to look and see what's offered out there. (Met-Life coverage stinks. They will not cover kitties at 10 years of age, and 2 of mine are there already.)
