He is standing at the door waiting to go out. However, the vet made me promise to keep him in over night. Yikes, don't know how I am going to do that. The vet feels that whatever he had under his tongue was removed with "clean margins." In other words, it hadn't invaded the mouth with lots to tentacles so even if it is cancer there is a good chance it has been removed. So now I keep him in overnight and then we wait until next week for the pathology report. At the moment he is purring and I feel a little better. He was unable to eat his wet food, so I am going to give him his favorite cream cheese and see if he can eat that. Thanks for your good thoughts. I do believe in the power of prayer!
