My Missy's (RIP) kitten had severe asthma. Her prior owner ignored it and by the time I got her and saw her coughing, most of her lungs were scar tissue. I spent lots of money to try to save her, including a lung sonogram. She was on daily prednisone, which eventually ruined her liver and she was dying so we held her as the vet gave her the final shot to help her to the bridge.

oh goodness,My Bitty does that. She coughed like that back when we lived in that old house in Hialeah. We all had problems breathing there including me. She still does this at times. I didn't really realize that she still had asthma. I guess I need to take her in sometime soon so I can get her a rescue inhaler. She is impossible to pill and she wouldn't let me give her the terbutaline shots either.
Thanks very much Miu!

Oh my. Molly has done that a few times, but I thought she was just trying to cough up a hairball and sort of ignored it. Thanks, now I will know what to watch for and pay more attention. Fortunately, it hasn't happened for months now.
