I petted him, and he accepted it freely. His mom showed me his favorite toy, a Cat Dancer. He looked at it some, took one swipe at it, then turned back to me for more petting! Would have stayed home except I had to go to a training session on the use of the EndNotes program. Absorbed nothing, just got all my reasons for disliking it confirmed. Going to use online tutorials when they get the program installed. But, that's not what we're here to talk about, is it?</p> <p>GABRIEL IS COMING HOME WITH ME TONIGHT! I'm supposed to meet his mom back at the house she's leaving between 7:30 and 8:00. Mr. Leeny and I went to meet him on Saturday. The room in which he and his mom were living is about half the size of my bedroom and is not air conditioned. Gabriel is thin; his mom says he's lost weight because of the stress he's been under. Even the vet report says he needs to gain a pound. (Wish there was some way to take it off of Buttercup and put it on Gabriel.)</p> <p>I was wanting to find a place separate from everyone else where I could put Gabriel's things so he could retreat there if things get to be too much for him, but I couldn't find any place like that--cats go everywhere in our home. I'll just have to bring him in and hope for the best.
