Make sure the water is lukewarm and there are no drafts. I use Ivory soap or something gentle.Don't keep her in the water long and then have a big towel ready to get her warm again after you're done. You will want to get one. For now, don't get the flea shampoo, since the kitten is too young to safely use it.</p> <p>Get a bowl of lukewarm water; add a drop or two of dish soap. Get a washcloth. Get comfortable with the kitten, and put the bowl where you'll be able to reach it easily with both hands.</p> <p>When you comb the kitten, quickly dip the comb as soon as you're done with the stroke, into the bowl of water. Then use your other hand to pull off any fur or fleas from the comb, under water. Pull out the comb, wipe it against the washcloth, and do it again.</p> <p>You should be able to get most of the fleas off the kitten this way.</p> <p>If you can get to a good lawn &#38; garden center, you may be able to find diatomaceous earth. It's a nontoxic white powder that you can rub into the kitten's fur, all over. All have learned quite well from each other how to bathe themselves.
