I just read this article from yesterday. It is nice to know the Hemingway cats will not be thrown out.

KITTIES RULE
Posted 3 years ago by neelaANDcharlie #
I'm so happy for the kitties. I've been to the Hemingway House and met some of the kitties who reside there. There are a whole lot of them, but they are well and regularly taken care of by caretakers of the Museum and vets. Pretty special cats!

YAY! We took two trips to Key West in a 6 month span. On our 2nd trip (Key West was a shore excursion on a cruise we were taking), my son "Bear," who was 6 at the time, just about DRAGGED the rest of us as we walked from the docks on the north side of the island, to the Hemingway House on the south side so that he could see the cats again. One of my favorite memories of all is the bemused looks on the faces of passers-by at the little boy dragging his parents and grandparents through town begging the whole time to see the Hemingway House.
