  1. Okay guys, I'll come clean now, this is a slightly spammy message,
but I think you guys might like this.

I'm promoting a book called Will Work For Nuts, based on a TV show that
some UK posters might remember..or maybe not. :)

It's a silly and irreverent guide in how to persuade animals to do fun things!
From teaching your goldfish to play football to getting slugs to clean the mould off your bath and shower tiles (perfect for students) its full of ideas to have fun with the animal kingdom!(with non-lethal animals, of course)

Anyway, if you like the sound of it, check it out here:http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0007279574/ref=s9sims_c5_14_img1-rfc_g1-frt_p-3215_g1-3102_g2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=0ZESH3WY8XNEC2116VKM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=218328491&pf_rd_i=468294

And if I'm crossing the line here, please let me know.

    Thanks for reading,

    Rachael

  5. Rachael, yes, I've taught some of my cats some interesting tricks. Booger was the best, by far; he was easily affection-trained. If I'd added in treats, too, I probably could have taught him just about anything!

(Among his many tricks, he would sit and shake paws; not the left paw, but the right paw.)

About the only thing I couldn't get him to do was 'bark' on command, because I could never get him to shut up long enough to get the positive reinforcement properly associated with the 'bark.'

  7. I've seen the book it is great. I loved the TV series too.. Three crazy dudes training animals - they even had an eagle playing one of those electric racing car games. They had a horse that could memorize like thousands of objects too.
My only concern is that they don't tell you how to train eagles to do that in the book! I trained my cat to play volleyball (sort of) with a ping pong ball and a mini net. Does anyone know when Will Work for Nuts is coming back on TV?
