Airy If my Maxies bills didn't eat up my extra rainy day cash I would so drive down! But right now I can't and I won't be seeing a pay check until oh November! You you are wanting to do it around christmas I might be able to work that out and maybe Karen will go and she and I can carpool since she would have to come by here anyways to head towards the LA area!

Oooh...I am up for coming down your way but that would depend as to when you were thinking of doing this since the airfare changes quickly. If you did a Saturday afternoon, could fly down Sat morning and come back Sunday morning that way the airfare roundtrip is around $177 depending on if I would fly into John Wayne/Orange County airport. Wonder if driving down would be any better.

OH - I'd love to be able to come to a So Cal get together! I will be in San Diego for the week of Thanksgiving - arriving early evening the Saturday before and leaving early afternoon the Saturday after. The only problem is I'm a little restricted on the days I could do it, and on the distance I travel. I want to make sure that I spend as much time with my mom as possible. Ideally, Mon, Tues or Wed would be best for me - but I suspect that since those are weekdays, they are not great for the rest of you! :-(

Hi GD! My mom is actually back in the hospital at the moment - but is scheduled to come home today. She went in 3 days ago with abdominal and back pain. Initially they diagnosed inflammation of the pancreas and now they are saying she has an ulcer. So they have started medication (more meds!), and she should be starting back on solid food. Otherwise she is doing OK. She is very much looking forward to our visit next month.

Rubia, I can take a Monday off..come down Sunday evening and go back Monday evening kind of thing but the important thing is can Airy and the others do a Monday?

If everybody is getting together in late November after I get my next grant check, then I might be able to come too. As it is now, there is no way I would have the money for gas or anything else.

Almost any day will work for me. Also, I can fit 3 other people into my car (4 if one of them is skinny and friendly), and I'd be happy to drive a carload of TDK'ers to where ever we end up meeting.
