I was using Special Kitty litter from walmart ever since i had Snow White (8wks old). I just went to Petsmart and bought Fresh Step Clay litter. Is that fine because she is now laying and playing in her litter box instead of going. And i think she may have swallowed 1 or 2 clays.

It is not the clumping type and she is eating it. I am going to throw it away and go to Walmart and buy the one i used before.

That's probably a good idea, Snow. You definitely don't want a litter that she'll be inclined to eat.

I used Feline Pine Clumpping litter. I have a kitten and adult cat and all has been good with it. It does stick a little to my kitten's long fur. It is supposed to be a lot more healthier for cats.

i'm a little late to this topic, but I love the litter called the World's Best Litter. It's made from corn and all natural, i like it becuase it doesn't smell and I have 4 kitties and it works amazing and keeps the smell from the litter as well (well as long as they cover it up), it lasts forever too!

I had to change litters once because my cat Taco thought it was a playground and ended up getting 3 pieces of litter stuck in his eye and it shut from irritation. I hope you find a solution for beautiful snow white!

I can't offer much advice being that all mine are rescues & with the number of kitties I'm cleaning up after on a daily basis,I get what is cheapest. Altho I miss having itty, bitty kitties in the house,I'm thankful that I only have to worry about adult-sized now (even tho 3 are only 1.5 yrs.old).
I used to use Special Kitty as well. Good product. But stopped when I refused to buy anything from Wal-Mart that had a 'made in China' label (because of the pet food poisonings).
Now I mix the Petsmart brand w/the Tidy Cat (both hard-clumping)& it seems to work for me. I just can't afford to try the others.
Good Luck with what you decide.
